About Sidey

Sidey started with something I figured out about myself pretty recently.

For a long time I assumed I just wasn’t that into sex the way other gay guys seemed to be. I liked men and I liked fooling around, but anal was never really my thing.

Then I came across the word “side”: a guy who’s into everything but anal. Reading that was a relief, honestly. Turns out it’s a normal way to be, and plenty of guys are wired the same way. I just hadn’t heard anyone talk about it.

The more I brought it up with other people, the more I saw how common it actually is. Sides are everywhere, but you wouldn’t know it from the apps, the porn, or the way the community talks about sex. If you’re not a top or a bottom, there’s basically nothing set up for you.

That’s the gap Sidey is here to fill : a platform where sides can meet, share their stories, and where someone who’s never heard the term can come across it and think “oh, that’s me.” It’s early days, and it’s being built by someone who’s actually a side, not a brand guessing at it.
